Installing Fender Fuse[]
Fender Fuse is Silverlight Application so Installing the (now unsupported) plugin is required to run the application.
- Download and install latest Silverlight (Silverlight 5.1.50918 (64-bit))
- Download and install latest Fender FUSE 2.7.1 software: :v

Fix Fender Fuse USB connection Issues (Windows 10/11)[]
- In some cases the Mustang Amp gets connected after installation, but after a while the FUSE software stops detecting the Mustang amplifier.
- The Fender Fuse uses hidapi.dll library for USB device connection. The supplied version of the library included in Fuse software is obsolete and it seems to cause problems on modern Windows. However the library is Open Source and can be upgraded to newer version.
- Download newer version of hidapi.dll form official site (hidapi-win.zip):
- Locate old library in your system (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Fender\Fender FUSE)
- Update (replace) the Fender library with newer 32-bit version of the hidapi.dll (x86 folder in the zip file).
- Run Fender FUSE software. The Mustang amp should now be able to connect successfully.
- Tested on Windows 11 - 22H2 with Fender Mustang I V2
Import multiple presets to PC library at once[]
- Download any of the available presets packs to your PC
- Copy selected presets to Documents\Fender\FUSE\Presets folder
- Run FUSE software. The presets should be now available in your library
Clear Silverlight Cache (Clear Fender Fuse IE settings)[]
- Open Edge browser
- In settings set: Allow sites to be reloaded in Internet Explorer mode (IE mode) to Enabled
- Press Control + Shift + Delete to clear caches, in the bottom there should be a line with Clear Browsing data for IE Mode to clear cache for old IE and Silverlight applications.
